Poetry #6

I am lonely as I walk down this path.
Others have a hand to hold,
but I only have my dark shadow
to keep me from total solitude.

I wish to cry out for help,
but who would dare come near
one who reeks of death and bitterness?
They stay away out of wisdom.

But that they'd disobey for a single time!

I am angry at what I see in myself,
but who'd be willing to see me change?
Everyone disappears at my voice,
killing me in their abandonment.

How am I to survive the harshness of winter
without a coat to keep me warm?
Does a polar bear survive the
tundra without his fur?

I will lay my head here and rest,
for I am so tired.

A sleep lasting until the End.

I love this, especially at how I could relate to it. There are times when you feel like no one can help you. You try to cry out, yet it seems no one listens. You just wish to sleep. I always remind myself I have my family and my friends, especially my best friends, to help me. I hope you have that support as well. Keep writing :D
